About Cycle Masters

 

 

Cycle Masters was created in 2003 in response to the growing demand by Australian organisations to provide a more balanced lifestyle for their employees.  While that goal is becoming a well-accepted attribute of successful organisations, the use of cycling to help achieve that goal is innovative and exciting.

Cycling for a balanced lifestyleCycling appeals to a broad range of people and can be undertaken by most everyone.  Its benefits for both individuals and companies alike are wide-ranging and significant.  In addition to a more balanced lifestyle, cycling can lead to:

Government is now advocating cycling in the workplace. The Department of Employment, Workplace Relations and Small Business has issued their "Cycle to work" brochure to encourage cycling. "Cycle Instead" in Perth has been successfully introduced. State spending in Sydney on cycling infrastructure has jumped fifteen-fold.  The "Cycling 100 Project" demonstrated that new riders can achieve significant improvements in physical work capacity and cholesterol levels as well as reduced risk of heart attack and stroke just by riding to work instead of driving.

Cycle Masters is much more than getting employees to ride to work though. Our mission is based on the belief that any increase in any of four types of cycling can lead to the benefits listed above.  These four types of cycling activities are:

  • Commuting to work by bicycle
  • Cycling as a group of employees
  • Social rides on weekends
  • General recreational riding

With this in mind, our mission is to deliver the benefits of cycling to Australian organisations, their employees, and the greater community through the implementation of innovative cycling programs. Our role is to be the catalyst, the mentor, and the reporting party back to management.

Our motto at Cycle Masters is "Cycling for Success".  We believe that we, our clients, our clients' employees, and the greater communities in which we live and work can all prosper. To achieve this goal, firstly we must approach our work in the right manner. To this end we have four values that guide us and to which we are accountable.

    Innovative. We will be the leading proponent of cycling programs in Australia and our programs will be cutting edge. We will set the standard for cycling programs within Australian organisations. To this end, we will tailor our services and products to suit each client's culture and goals.

    Welcoming. We are committed to helping all of the employees of our clients no matter their skill, experience or ability. Any increase in cycling by any person, no matter how small, is a success.
